? About the Role

The Extended Day Teacher oversees the school’s aftercare program once the school day ends at 3:00 PM. Responsibilities include:

• Leading engaging, age-appropriate activities such as music and storytelling

• Supervising and ensuring the safety of children during free play and transitions

• Making sure cleaning and laundry is completed

• Maintaining a calm, respectful tone consistent with Montessori principles

• Collaborating with other staff to ensure a smooth handoff from the school day to aftercare

? Requirements

• EEC Teacher Qualification (Required)

• Experience working with young children (toddlers or preschoolers)

• Able to comfortably lift up to 40 pounds

• Dependable, warm, and patient demeanor

• Able to get down and up from the ground easily

• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors

• Montessori experience is a plus but not required
