About St. Michaels School and Nursery
St. Michael's School and Nursery has 135 years' history of serving the youngest and often underserved children and their families in Wilmington, DE. A recently completed $6.5 million renovation and construction project has enhanced its reputation as a premier early childhood center. As a 5-Star center, it has 18 classrooms, a library and community space, a cafeteria and professional kitchen, and 35.000 of our door space that has traditional playground equipment but also an outdoor classroom, various gardens, and nature zones. We have well-established professional networks within the city and the state which enhance the educational experience for children as well as strengthen support systems for families. As a well-respected non-profit, it stays committed to its mission, believing that a sense of community is a core strength for children, families, and educators.
