The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton invites qualified applicants for a full-time, Lecturer – Early Childhood position in the Social Sciences Department beginning September 1, 2025.
Duties:
Instruction of undergraduate courses offered in the A.S. and B.B.A. Early Childhood degree programs.
4/4 course load, including on campus and online teaching.
Academic student advisement and mentorship.
Program and curriculum development, review, and revision.
Development and assessment of course student learning outcomes.
Collaborative participation in university service, College, and Department activities.
Community and campus engagement.
Participation in program marketing and student recruitment initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in early childhood, child development, or related field with emphasis on children from infancy to age 5.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field of early care and education working with children from birth to age 5 years.
Knowledge of Child Care Regulations and Licensing.
College teaching at the undergraduate level in both online and in person settings.
Experience designing and developing undergraduate courses relevant to the early childhood discipline.
Knowledge of Online Learning Management Systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Administrative experience in licensed Child Care settings at the Assistant Director or Director level.
