The Early Language Professional Development Specialist will develop a statewide professional development program in early language and literacy and brain development for childcare center directors, caregivers and teachers of children birth to Preschool. The Professional Development Specialist will serve as the Center's expert on the unique needs of infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their teachers and caregivers.

The Early Literacy Professional Development Specialist will develop a statewide professional development program in early language and literacy for teachers of children kindergarten to 3rd grade, literacy coaches, principals, superintendents, and other school leaders. The Professional Development Specialist will collaborate with the GA DOE, RESA, school systems, USG teacher preparation programs and other professional development providers offering support in literacy along with community partners to explore ways to provide literacy enrichment for children K-3rd grade.

These positions will be field based but will require in office training and on site reporting through probation period.

Master's degree in Reading and Literacy, Reading Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field or Reading Endorsement.

3- 5 years of direct experience working in early childhood settings with children birth to age 4 or 3-5 years of direct experience working in K-12 classroom teaching experience. 

Experience supporting adult learning, coaching, and facilitation.
