Purpose This position is to provide the additional teacher in the classroom to meet the Texas childcare licensing and NAEYC teacher/child ratio. The assistant will also cover for the lead teacher's absence. The assistant will assist in the classroom to carry out the lesson plans and development activities of the children.
Required Education: Associate's Degree
Field of Study: Child Development or Early Childhood Education w/Special Education
Required Experience: 1 year of relevant work
Other Required Qualifications
CDA, CPR & First Aid Certification, background check with finger prints, and TB skin test
Strong knowledge of Child Development or Early Childhood Education
Strong communication skills
Conscious Discipline trained with NAEYC experience
Preferred Experience: 3 years of relevant work
Other Preferred Qualifications Teachable; flexible; shows insight into child and adult behavior; communicates effectively and clearly in both verbal and written form; demonstrates good judgment when planning for children's safety and health; presents good model to children of language verbally and written; Good time manager, organized. Understanding of Conscious Discipline and Touchpoints trained.
