The Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) at Oklahoma State University is seeking two (2) qualified candidates for tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor with a focus in early childhood education (ECE). Both nine-month positions have an anticipated start date of August 2020.
The successful candidate will contribute to the ECE program and Department of HDFS through the following efforts:
Conduct and publish research, secure grants, and perform other scholarly activities focused on early childhood education.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
Advise graduate students.
Collaborate with faculty across the university to develop interdisciplinary research and training programs in relevant areas.
Provide service to the university, community, and the broader professional disciplines.
Work in a team-oriented environment; contribute to outreach and service activities; participate in departmental, college, and university committee activities as needed; engage in other responsibilities consistent with the comprehensive land-grant mission of OSU; fulfill other duties as assigned by the HDFS Department Head.
Earned doctorate in early childhood education or related discipline from an accredited university.
Expertise in early childhood education.
A record of or demonstrated potential for significant research and publications.
University or college teaching experience and/or professional experience.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and interact effectively with faculty, students, and administrative personnel, especially on research projects.
Successful candidate must provide evidence of employment eligibility as required.

HDFS is one of the largest departments in the university with 34 full-time faculty members, 521 undergraduate students, and 85 graduate students across both the Tulsa and Stillwater campuses.
