We have a new and unique growth opportunity for a leadership candidate, working with our MIT childcare centers- and we're offering a $7500 hiring incentive! The Associate Director position will provide you with an extended period of training, shadowing the leadership teams at our TCC programs in Cambridge and Lexington. You’ll hone your leadership skills as you learn and develop your program management expertise in these unique programs, with the goal of eventually taking the helm at a center in the MIT child care system.

As an Associate Director at Bright Horizons, you will:
Develop the program curriculum
Facilitate the professional development of staff
Create relationships with families around the educational needs of their children
Collaborate with client partners in addressing the needs of their employees for high-quality early education
Inspire each child’s potential through your innovative curriculum, inclusive environment and strong family partnerships
Enjoy the support of a team dedicated to help you manage the daily operations of the center
What the MIT Technology Childcare Centers offer:
Enhanced adult to child ratios, three adults for each classroom of children
Supports for directors to prioritize their work on curriculum, teacher training, parent relationships through other positions including full-time dedicated to MIT regional manager, campus-wide enrollment manager, full MIT infrastructure such as facilities maintenance, pest control, IT services
Ample resources for children, staff, and leadership to achieve the goals of MIT
Hiring incentive upon start of employment and after 1 year of employment (see Manager for details)
Desired Skills and Experience
Master’s degree required or close to attaining
3-5 years of management/leadership experience
University-based experience a plus
A combination of infant, toddler or preschool teaching experience
Well versed in NAEYC accreditation and licensing standards
Strong leadership, supervisory and customer service skills and ability to create/maintain partnerships with families and staff
Ability to lead staff in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum
Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks or crisis situations effectively
Experience working in an inclusive work environment and managing across an international family and staff population
Must meet state educational and licensing requirements for director, DEEC Director II; additional center/school requirements may apply
