You will serve as a Physical Therapist in the Educational Development Intervention Services (EDIS) Department of NAVAL HOSPITAL OKINAWA. You will provide early intervention and related services to developmentally delayed and disabled children and their families by providing physical therapy intervention, diagnostic/evaluation and treatment services to eligible children birth to 21 years of age.
You will execute a full range of pediatric physical therapy procedures, diagnostic, and treatment services for the Educational and Intervention Services (EDIS) program.
You will serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team to evaluate referred clients for treatment planning and to determine current levels of function.
You will serve as a member of an established team consisting of multiple disciplines, collaborating and implementing Individualized Family Service Plans.
You will document evaluations, treatment sessions, quarterly summaries, and closing summaries in the Special Needs Program Information Management System.
You will provide intervention, consultation, monitoring, and co-teaching models of services to children with identified physical therapy needs as indicated by evaluation and IFSP or IEP.
You will attend case study committee meetings and other meetings impacting the child's care, to include EDIS staff meetings, family conferences, quality improvement meetings, special needs resource team meetings as requested.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

Completed the clinical requirements prescribed by the school. AND
Possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physical Therapist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. AND
Passed the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).
You are currently a Physical Therapist employed in the federal government as of September 2017 who has a degree that included a physical therapy curriculum approved by a recognized professional accrediting organization at the time the curriculum was completed. AND
Have completed the clinical requirements prescribed by the school. AND
Passed a State-administered national examination.
