Vanderbilt University is searching for an Education Director to work within their Child & Family Center division, which serves the Vanderbilt community of faculty, staff and students. The Child & Family Center operates three early care and education programs, serving infants through pre-k children, which are located on the beautiful Vanderbilt campus. The University is seeking an experienced leader who will collaborate with the Executive Director of the Child & Family Center to oversee the curriculum and pedagogy for the early care and education programs, and implement practices and policies that achieve the highest standards for quality. Leadership of the early care and education program site operations, working closely with each Site Director
Implement pedagogical philosophies and practical application of curriculum
Support comprehensive communications plan for outreach to the Vanderbilt community
Oversee Site Directors’ implementation of licensing, regulation, pedagogy and practice
Collaborate with Administrative Officer to ensure Site Director accountability for the management of each programs’ financial operations
Facilitate professional development structures that support pedagogical objectives
Work with the Executive Director to establish short and long-term goals and objectives for the Child & Family Center
Create a work environment that demonstrates and values diversity, integrity, safety, collaboration, collegiality and positive relationships
The Education Director reports to the Executive Director of the Child & Family Center.
Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of work experience in an early childhood organization
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role
