The Ellen Boniuk Early Childhood School is one of West Houston's finest preschools. Our caring, professional staff provide quality infant and child care and Jewish enrichment.
We celebrate Jewish heritage and traditions through school-wide Shabbat, snack and holiday celebrations. We incorporate Jewish customs and values into our daily curriculum.
Other features include small class sizes and daily enrichment including gym or music.
The Director is responsible for leading, coordinating and implementing all programs and activities at the JCC West Houston Campus, with the primary focus on managing the Early Childhood Programs, and to represent the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC in the West Houston Community to parents, prospective parents/families, Jewish Communal partners and other organizations.
Provide leadership to the Early Childhood Education School through Supervision of teachers, curriculum support and development, classroom management and all other aspects of the school. Serve as active participant with Bertha Alyce Colleagues/team to address, develop and implement system-wide Early Childhood initiatives
Partner with the ERJCC Marketing and Communications staff, along with other Partners to implement a comprehensive marketing & recruitment plan for the school and other programs
Partner with Jewish Communal organizations to strengthen the West Houston/ Katy/Heights community through programming for families & children
As Department Director, coordinate all administrative functions, budget, facility needs and operations.
Partner with the Early Childhood Committee in the collective goal to grow, develop and support the school and all other related activities
Develop, coordinate, and lead Early Childhood program curriculum and activities both educational and non-instructional – which also includes special events, parent meetings, open houses, and new family programming.
Conduct required meetings of the staff, and provide time for training & development
Active assist in the admission process, meeting with prospective families
Minimum of Master’s Degree in Early Childhood or related field
3+ years of Supervision & Program Management experience
Exceptional interpersonal skills required
Strong work ethic
Forward thinking ideas and attitude
Knowledge of Early Childhood curriculum and regulations
Certified in CPR
