Verner seeks a curious and reflective educator to join a vibrant professional community of early childhood educators. Candidates should bring a fascination with and strong developmental understanding of the early childhood years and a desire to learn and evolve within the context of a vital, growing learning community. Establish & maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for children, teachers and parents
Setting an emotional tone for the room that is responsive to children, parents and teachers
Assessing the educational and developmental needs of each child
Planning and implementing curriculum that will enhance the development of the children in all areas (cognitive, physical, social, emotional), with an awareness of the needs of children.
Educating and supporting parents as necessary
The teacher will approach issues and problems professionally and self-reflectively, work cooperatively with colleagues, attend staff meetings, and engage in ongoing staff development
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (at least 18 hours infant/toddler coursework) or Infant/Toddler Certificate. Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Birth to Kindergarten preferred.
Current SIDS certification
Infant/Child CPR Certification
At least 1 year experience working with Infants or Toddlers
