The Magic Garden, Inc. educates toddlers and preschoolers in Lincoln, MA on the public school campus in an expansive grassy setting surrounded by trees. Magic Garden serves and nurtures children 18 months to 5 years in 4 classrooms, is NAEYC accredited and offers a year round, full day program. The 12 teachers on staff are experienced early educators with degrees in the field, almost all of whom have been there more than a decade. Magic Garden is committed to a child-centered approach to learning, one that respects each child’s needs and interest, incorporates emergent curriculum, and draws upon the Reggio Emilia model. It is dedicated to establishing strong relationships among children, teachers and families, fostering cooperation, inclusivity and respect. We are a state licensed preschool and kindergarten that opened in 2000. Our local community is an ethnically and socio-economically diverse area, and our student population reflects the local diversity. The preschool and kindergarten come under the umbrella of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Our foundation is based upon Christian principles, but our student population includes other religions and families with no religious affiliation. Our curriculum focuses on learning through the creative and performing arts, and we have introduced Spanish immersion that has proven popular with families. Our mission is to support families and caregivers, shape policy, and build communities that promote the learning and development of children and youth throughout Washington State through a strong statewide network of local child care resource and referral programs.
